01About these terms
These terms apply when you book or receive a consultation or treatment with Oatley Medical Aesthetics. By booking an appointment you accept them. Please read them alongside our privacy notice.
Treatments are provided by Hayley Oatley-Davies, an Independent Midwife Prescriber, who assesses, prescribes and carries out every treatment personally.
02Booking an appointment
Appointments can be booked online, by telephone, by email or by message. A booking is confirmed only once you have received confirmation from us — a request on its own does not reserve the appointment.
A deposit may be required to secure certain appointments. The amount varies with the treatment, is typically £50, and the exact figure is confirmed to you at the time of booking. Where a deposit is paid it is put towards the cost of your treatment.
03Consultation and suitability
Every treatment begins with a consultation. The purpose of the consultation is to decide whether a treatment is safe, appropriate and realistic for you — not to confirm a treatment you have already chosen.
We may decline to treat you, or recommend a different approach. This can happen at any point, including on the day of a booked appointment, and including after a deposit has been paid. If we decline to treat you for clinical reasons, any deposit paid will be refunded or held against a future appointment, as you prefer.
Booking an appointment is not a guarantee that a treatment will be carried out.
04Prescription-only medicines
Some treatments involve prescription-only medicines. These are prescribed only after a face-to-face consultation and only where clinically appropriate. A prescription cannot be issued in advance, cannot be requested by name, and is not guaranteed by the fact that you have had the treatment before.
05Prices and payment
Prices are shown on the treatments and packages pages and may change from time to time. The price that applies is the one confirmed to you at consultation.
Payment is due in full on the day of treatment, less any deposit already paid. We accept card and cash.
06Cancellations and missed appointments
- Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment.
- Cancellations with less notice than this, and appointments you do not attend, may result in the loss of your deposit. There is no further charge beyond the deposit.
- If we have to cancel or move your appointment, we will offer you the earliest alternative and refund any deposit in full if you would prefer not to rebook.
We understand that illness and emergencies happen. Please tell us as early as you can and we will deal with it reasonably.
07Results, reviews and adjustments
Aesthetic treatments vary from person to person. No specific result can be promised, and results are not permanent.
Where a review appointment is included, it will be offered 2 to 3 weeks after treatment. If a review is needed sooner than that, Hayley will arrange it with you directly. Any adjustment made at that review is at our clinical discretion. Further treatment after that period is charged as a new treatment.
Because treatment is a service performed to your specification, fees for treatment already carried out are not refundable simply because you have changed your mind. This does not affect your legal rights if a service has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill.
08Your responsibilities
- Give full and accurate information about your medical history, medication and allergies, and tell us if anything changes before treatment.
- Tell us if you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding.
- Follow the aftercare advice you are given.
- Contact us promptly if you have any concern following treatment, so it can be assessed properly.
09Age
We treat adults only. You must be 18 or over, and we may ask for proof of age.
10Packages and vouchers
Packages and gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, are non-transferable unless we agree otherwise, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Where a package includes several treatments, each remains subject to the suitability assessment in section 03.
11Photography
Clinical photographs form part of your treatment record. They are used for marketing or teaching only where you have given separate written consent, which you may withdraw at any time. See our privacy notice for detail.
12If something goes wrong
Please contact us first so we can help — most concerns are resolved quickly. Our complaints procedure explains what to do and what to expect.
Hayley holds professional indemnity insurance with Hamilton Fraser.
13Liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for results that fall within the normal range of variation described at consultation.
14Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your treatment is the one published when you booked. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
