01What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels and tags — do much the same job. This policy covers all of them.
Cookies are used to make a site work, to remember your choices, and to understand how the site is used.
02Your choice
This site does not set any non-essential cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. The one cookie it does set simply remembers that you have seen the notice at the foot of the page, which is why you are asked to acknowledge it rather than to agree to anything — there is no choice to make, and so no settings panel to manage.
Under UK law we must ask your permission before placing non-essential cookies. If that ever changes — if we add analytics, for example — we will ask you first, and this page will be updated before anything is set.
03Cookies this site uses
Reading these pages
Browsing this website sets one cookie, and only after you have dismissed the notice at the foot of the page.
- oatley_cookie_notice — remembers that you have seen that notice, so it is not shown to you again. It holds nothing but a version marker, identifies nobody, and expires after 12 months.
There is no analytics cookie and no advertising cookie, and nothing is kept in your browser’s local storage. You can read every page here without anything else being written to your device.
Sending an enquiry
The enquiry form sends your message straight to us and sets no cookie. It carries one hidden field used to catch automated submissions, which is discarded and never stored.
Booking
Our online booking is provided by Aesthetic Nurse Software. When you follow a booking link you leave this website, and that provider sets its own cookies under its own policy. We have no control over those cookies.
Social media
Links to Instagram and Facebook are ordinary links — they set no cookies until you follow them. We do not embed social media tracking on this site.
Signing in to the dashboard
Oatley Medical Aesthetics signs in to a private dashboard to keep this site up to date. Signing in sets a session cookie, which is strictly necessary and is only ever set for the person signing in. Visiting the public pages never sets it.
04Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block them in future. The controls are usually under settings, then privacy.
Blocking cookies will not stop this site working. The only effect is that the notice at the foot of the page cannot remember it has been dismissed, so it appears again each visit. Blocking may affect the booking system once you have followed a link across to it, as that is run by someone else.
05Personal information
Where a cookie collects information that identifies you, it is also personal data. Our privacy notice explains how we handle that, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
06Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a tool that sets cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
